As with many phones, taking a screenshot on an iPhone is quite easy. But if your phone’s Home or Power Key is defective, your iPhone may let you down. In a case like this, we have listed what you need to do to take a screenshot on the iPhone.

You can switch to different screens by pressing your phone’s home key. If you hold down the Home and Power key for a long time, you can force your phone to restart. Also, if you press the Home-Power key briefly, you can take a screenshot. Unless your keys are broken.

If one or both of your keys are broken, all you have to do is activate the AssistiveTouch option. In this way, you will be able to do many operations, including taking a screenshot, very easily, even if your keys are broken. Now let’s tell you how to activate it.

1. Step: on iPhone, let’s go to Settings > Accessibility

Step 2: Log in to Assistive Touch by clicking where it says tap on the screen that appears.

Step 3: Turn the Assistive Touch option from off to on.

If the above steps have been successfully completed, you will see a virtual button on your screen. When you press the button, you will find options such as Home screen and Sleep/Wake (Power key function).

4. Step: tap the virtual button once, then tap Device. (Here we will set the option to take a screenshot)

 

 

5. Step: tap Device, then tap More, and then tap Screenshot.

As you will see in the picture below, if our keys do not work, we will now be able to take a very easy screenshot. Most importantly, we will be able to handle our operations much faster without the need for Broken Keys.

 

What Is AssistiveTouch?

As the name suggests, Assistive Touch, is a touch button that helps us. The difference between Normal keys appears directly on the phone’s screen, and so even if the iPhone keys fail, we can do many tasks very conveniently thanks to this virtual key assistant.

Here are some of the actions you can take;

  • Switch the phone off and on,
  • taking a screenshot,
  • mute or unmute the phone,
  • restarting the phone,
  • starting Siri,
  • request help with SOS.
